On another breakdown of participation Afghan policemen in training courses, organized by the Russian Ministry of internal affairs in Domodedovo.

Russian authorities expressed deep concern according to the fact that 18 afghan counter-narcotic policemen didnt come to Moscow for training at the Ministry of internal affairs courses in Domodedovo. Regretfully such inconsequent act, provided by the Ministry of internal affairs of Afghanistan without explanations of reasons, cant help suggesting that a number of foreign advisors in Hamid Karzais Administration continues to carry out illogical policy aimed at blocking Russian NATO agreements in the field of training of afghan counter-narcotic personnel in Russia.

All that happened in spite of assurances concerning the incentive of Afghanistan to have an active cooperation with Russia in control of drug trafficking as well as in multiparty format with NATO participation, given by the Afghan president Hamid Karzai to his Russian counterpart Dmitry Medvedev during their meeting in Dushanbe in August, 2008.

This incident set thinking over the necessity of concession of more independence to the legitimate Afghan government in taking important decisions including the sphere of fighting against drug threat.
